Colour Chronicles make beautiful childhood journals — from traditional baby books for the first year, to category-defining books for ages 1-16, encompassing the whole of the childhood experience.
Designed to be filled in by adults and children together, these joyful books help families capture the special memories of growing up while creating moments of real connection with each other.
The books are beautifully designed with bright covers and simple internal pages that allow families to make their mark, responding to thoughtfully written prompts and questions written inclusively, for every kind of family.
Inspired by the design and approach of the books themselves, we worked closely with Colour Chronicles founder Ruth Sturdy to create a focussed brand strategy based on the core values of honesty, togetherness, inclusion, and joy.
A refreshed identity builds on the aesthetic of the books themselves, overlapping bold colour and monochrome typography to reflect the joyful mess and chaos of family life.
New messaging is honest, emotional and friendly, capturing the reality of everyday life in a way that’s supportive, joyful and judgement-free.
Identity and messaging come together in a new ecommerce website that introduces the brand and its products in an exciting way that’s easy to understand and navigate.
